Coaches please listen
to the audio file from our AYSO National Coach John Ouellette with regard to
“blowouts.”
Take the opportunity to challenge and advance your players in a game that is
a potential blowout.
A potential blowout is a game that is 3-0 anytime during the first half of
the game.
Challenge 1: give all your players an opportunity to score a goal.
Challenge 2: have your players take shots outside the 18 yard line.
Challenge 3: determine what you need to work on and challenge your players
(next goal needs to come from a cross, a through ball, or have them play
3-touch soccer and see if they can maintain control of the ball and score,
etc.)
"What is the best way to deal with blow-outs? And how do I motivate
players after a blowout?"

Thanks!
